This is my process journal for the humanities project. The first day we started the project, we were given a sheet that we had to fill up by questions we made for our country we chose.
Next, we received a folder to put our questions in and answer them in index cards, all our work has to be put inside the folder.
On the third day we went to the library to research in books and i found some useful information that i exactly needed to answer my questions. Before i write the answer in the index cards i have to compare the the information i found and see if the answers are true.
Today is the fourth day that we started the project, and we went to the library as usual to finisg our research. There are some questions that were easy to find the answer to by book and the question that i was stuck on was 'Did the government ever corrupted?' and i had to change it and after i finisged editing it, it became ' What is the law of the government and what will happen if the disobeyed it?' andi found a book called Ancient Egypt civilization that tells me everything about the law and the government.
On the fifth, sixth, seventh,eighth days, it was the same as the other rest. We went to the library, did some research on books and answered some questions. I finished the Art / Architecture category and maybe have four questions to finish Religion and Government. These are the questions that i need to finish so that i'm done with all of the.
How was the government organized?
Who did they worship more than one god? if so who and what is his or her power?
I think that this is one of the longest questions because it takes to write a lot.
As the week passed I finished all the categories; Religion, Art/ Architecture and Government.
The questions that i had trouble finding the answer to is; How was the government organized? and what's the family's daily routine?
The next day i went on citation machine and did the bibliography, and put them in my folder.
The following day, which is 31/03/2009, we are finding more answers of the internet to get more information to cover the questions we had and do the essay very easily.
the questions i am working on are; Why did they sacrifice?( if not, what instead)? & How did they worship and what is his power?
Today is 12/04/2009 and we are still researching in the internet with new sites that they gave us. The questions that i am doing are: How & why were the pyramids built?
Did they have trade? Did they belive in after life? I finished the first question^ and starting the second question, i think that it will take a long time just answering it. But the third question will take longer than you think.
13/04/2009-16/04/2009 we are still in the lab still doing the research and i finished 3 mabye 4 questions that i had some easy and some hard finding the answers to. I am focused on finishingthe religion catagorey because its easy and long at the same time as your researching in it, then plannin on the goverbment because its not that hard nor that long, then the art/ archietecture becuase its very hard and very very long. the question i had trouble finishing is the questions which say: how and why did they sacrifice, if so what?
19/04/2009- 21/04/2009 we are still researching in the lab, we have two more leesons then we will finish the research and will start planning the essay on sunday. But finally i finished the religion catagorey!!! the question that i had trouble with were : did they have more than 1 god? if so who and what are their powers? then next question is: did they beleive i afterlife?
Next i want to start the research in government and then follow it by art and archeitecture. I have to work twice as fast and as twice as hard, so i have to work very very very hard to finish the research on both catagories, i think i finished 1 question from government and a question from art/ archeitecture.
22/04/2009 -23/04/2009 were the last 2 days for the reaserch, i finished the Art and Religion catagory. i have a couple of questions that i still didn't finish from the Government catagory, which are; what is thelaw and what happened if they didn't follow it? Was their government organized? tese are the 2 questions that i still didn't finish. On the 23/04/2009 i wasn't in the class to work, i had to go to the counciler with some of my classmates to solve a problem we had, anyway, i missed a wholelesson, so the teacher told us that we can take the blue folders and work at home.
26/04/2009 - 27/04/2009 We are in the classroom today because we finished researching finally and and we stared planing our essay paragraph by paragraph, and the following day we will start drafting and writing our essay. My 2-3 paragraph are about Religion, the 4-6 paragraph are about Art and archeitecture, well and the 7-9 are about government. Last but not least, the first paragraph is the intro and the last is the conclusion.
28/04/2009 and 29/04/2009 We went back to the lab and started our essay, i started my introduction and my first paragraph which took me two days, the teacher told us that the word limit has been changed to the minimum is 1200 words and the maximum is 1600 words which is perfect news to an essay.
30/04/2009 today we continued writing our essay and i finished my second paragraph which is about religion, and it took 150 words and i really think that this essay is os very short and easy to do because ithink that the word limit is okay, the number of paragraphs i did a good planning of paragraphs.
03/04/2009 is another day writing our essay in the lab, i finished my third and fourth paragraph which took me 500 words and i think its a good number of words for only 4 paragraphs.
